TissueGuard? Gel

TissueGuard? is an aqueous gel used to stabilize fragile histology and cytology specimens during processing. It encapsulates and retains specimens during histological processing while allow chemical reagents to penetrate the specimen. This is an alternate to other agarose stabilizers, appropriate for cytology and histology applications such as ?ne needle aspirates, urine specimens, needle biopsies, nerves, small arteries, aggregates, lymph nodes, small tissue fragments, or any other specimens utilizing cell block preparation. Product can be applied in either centrifuge tube, or in conjunction with BioMesh tissue cassettes, or using tissue paper. After application, specimen is ready for processing within minutes, or sooner if aided with a cooling block.  

This box contains 12 tubes, each with 10mL of Hydroxyethyl Agarose TissueGuard? Gel. Cytology specimens must be ethanol preserved cell suspensions and histology specimens can be either formalin-fixed or unfixed tissue. Keep refrigerated when not in use and out of direct light. Once a tube of TissueGuard? Gel has been opened, it is not recommended to use for longer than one week. For further technical information and protocols see the technical note below:
