Shatterproof, yet light and strong, these desiccators will hold a vacuum of 740 mm of Hg for 24 hours. The clear polycarbonate top has added strength to eliminate the danger of implosion under vacuum, and the polypropylene lower section provides excellent chemical resistance. A PTFE plug turns easily to allow controlled entrance of air and a Neoprene® "O" ring seal requires no grease. The perforated plate is 3.2mm in thickness and is made from polypropylene.

A standard style diaphragm pump can be used to purge these systems.

The Space Saver Vacuum Desiccators can be used without vacuum and operated only as a desiccating volume. In such a case, we would recommend either SPI-Dry Basic Desiccating Canister or the SPI Desiccant Capsules.
